Engen Books announces its 2009 convention schedule

After the massive success of Sci-Fi on the Rock III, Engen Books announces the remainder of its 2009 convention schedule!

It all starts July 10-12 at the Sheraton Parkway North in Richmond Hill, Ontario with Polaris 23! Black Womb and Smoke and Mirrors author Matthew LeDrew will be joining David Nykl, Michelle Forbes and Matt Frewer at the largest fan-run convention in the country. Also in attendance will be long-time collaborator and superstar Canadian author Kenneth Tam.

"He follows me around like a little lost puppy dog, I swear." joked Tam. "But we're happy to be able to work together on this con again, and we're both planning to add a few more to our pool come 2010."

For our next stop its back to the Rock to Corner Brook for Newfoundland's West Coast Con! The NWCC kicks off with a bang this year and Engen Books will be there in full force with NewFoundSpecFic authors Jennifer Graham and Devin Drover attending as guests in their first full-fledged convention outing.

"We're so excited." Drover said. "It's going to be great to be there and launch the second volume of Newfoundspecfic... October's going to be big for us."

LeDrew will also be in attendance for NWCC, and announces something special to mark the event.

"We're going to be launching the fourth book in the Black Womb series, Roulette, right at the con." says LeDrew. "It just feels right. It'll have been two years since we started all this madness and it just feels like the right time to do a massive launch."

When asked to comment on the events of the fourth book, LeDrew would not comment, but said he plans to release small details as the weeks go on.

More conventions are already being booked for 2010, with upwards of five in talks for our young authors, as well as new books and news series'! Be sure to keep track of when Engen Books will be coming near you!
